1) Professional.
Garry Fry has over 20 years experience of working in the photographic industry, reaching Senior Photographer level within the Civil Service. Nearly all work comes from personal recommendation and referral, 'no' advertising, no Facebook, no Twitter, no Blog.

2) Trained and Qualified in Photography.
Garry Fry is fully qualified, having obtained ONC in photography (scientific & technical,) HNC in photography (advertising & commercial) and HNC in digital photography (electronic imaging.) His work has appeared in a number of national newspapers and various publications, including The British Journal of Photography and The Photographer magazine (In house magazine of the British Institute of Professional Photography.)

3) Qualified membership of professional photographic bodies.
Many photographers advertise their membership of professional photographic bodies, but it's worth checking to see if they have full qualified membership. Garry Fry has this, reaching Associateship level (a very high professional standard) as recognised by the two main professional photographic bodies - the British Institute of Professional Photography (ABIPP,) and the SWPP (ASWPP.) He has also reached Associateship level of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS.)
Garry continues to attend photographc workshops, conventions and training courses on a regular basis to keep up to date and ensure a quality product to you, the customer.

4) Criminal Records Bureau Certificate.
For your peace of mind, Garry Fry has been CRB checked (Enhanced Disclosure.) In today's society it is important that you employ a photographer whose background has been Police record verified, especially if the photography involves pictures of young people or children. (CRB certificate photocopy carried, for examination on request.)

5) Insurance Cover.
Garry Fry has full professional public liability insurance cover. (Certificate photocopy carried, for examination on request.) His modern portable electrical equipment (studio flash heads, digital printer, power cords etc) are annually PAT tested (last tested July 2009) to ensure compliance with required Health and Safety legislation.

Please note, there are Event Photographers operating with no training, no qualifications, no CRB check, and no insurance cover; anyone can buy a camera and call themselves a photographer. Be careful who you hire, you may be liable.

6) Pictures in password protected galleries.
Not all Event Photographers use password protected galleries (as this reduces sales,) which means images of your event are available to view (and download) by anyone on the World Wide Web; will all your guests be happy with this?

7) Transparent costs and friendly Service.
Garry Fry offers a friendly, no hassle service. Event attendance /print fees are openly displayed on the website. (Please contact me for a quote for other types of work; editorial, weddings, studio photography, etc.)

8) Not a franchise.
Yorkshire Events Photography is a freelance photographic business owned by Garry Fry, it is not a franchise where anyone might turn up to cover your important event. If Garry can't cover an event himself he will not take on the work and subcontract.
